Testimonials
“Andy had been my percussion teacher for over two years. In that time, I have found him to be a truly professional and excellent teacher. With incredible patience, Andy helped this adult rock drumset player successfully start playing and reading concert snare and marimba. Working together remotely, Andy helped me set and exceed my playing goals. His lessons are always engaging and really helped me become a much better drummer and musician. “

“Remote lessons with Andy Blanco have been fulfilling, fun, and extremely helpful since we are never in the same city. Lessons have helped my playing immensely and have helped my lack of technology knowledge as well!”

“I have been to a fair amount of online classes and workshops and no one is able to convey energy through a screen like Andy. His dedication and love for the craft comes bursting through when he teaches. You can tell how much he genuinely cares about his students and their personal growth. I was so honored to be able to attend this incredibly high quality bootcamp.”

“I first met Andy when I did the NYU broadway percussion seminar and his level of dedication and seriousness really stuck out to me and made me want to study with him privately. He delivers that same energy in private lessons and that helps push me to want to get better as well as develop a stronger foundation musically. When studying with Andy, I always get his full attention and a certain sense of seriousness in that he believes what I’m trying to accomplish and has the skill set and experience to help me get there.”

“Attending the Winter Percussion Bootcamp has been very beneficial. I had the opportunity to meet and engage with new percussionists. I observed new problems that I did not realize was important to work on and learned other new techniques and ways to practice to tackle those problems. We covered a variety of different topics and were open to talking about each and every individuals' problems that they need to work on. Personally, I am very satisfied with my improvement on sight reading as I was always unconfident to practice it but after learning the new way to approach it, I am able to recognize patterns and notes more quickly than before. Overall, the bootcamp was very helpful and I would recommend it to others.”
